INR. 11,634.00 /-

On a bus in rural marward, I noticed something striking, and this is how I brought it to menswear -

  • Tattoos; not the polished kind we city folks flaunt, but ancient tattoos crawling up their throats and arms. The purpose? - To mark what matters; Symbols of devotion, protection and belonging. Theirs for survival and legacy, ours for style and expression as shown on the shawl.
  • Odnis; The idea for this shawl came from watching tribal women make baby carriers from their odni - resourceful, rooted and real.

This look is a homage to their ink and ingenuity - stitched into a fabric that carriers both memory and meaning.

The entire time after my visit to Italy and witnessing structured wooden patina doors, I had this itch to scratch that something was missing in them, they did not feel complete.

This shawl came to life when I spotted a lady wearing a yellow saree, standing next to a similar door I saw in Italy. This saree added the missing grace, flow and movement in the structured door.

This shawl plays a key role in bringing two different cultures to complete one look and to scratch a year long itch.

Kaj-Ghero Shawl

INR. 12,818.00 /-

This natural indigo dyed woollen shawl is inspired by the artistry in the border paintings around haveli windows of MARWRD.

Lean in closer and you’ll find its anything but plain. Indigo colour steeped in stories - dyed in layers of history, process and patience.
Like an old haveli ki kidhki - just a window from afar, but look closer and you’ll find lives being lived uniquely behind it.
The border design on this shawl is a way to decorate the passage for those who choose to look deeper, look beyond the simple colour and understand its process and craft.
